The Veteran of the Game program is a great opportunity to thank Twin Tiers military veterans and active-duty military personnel for their service to our country.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

Once a veteran or active-duty member is nominated, the program coordinator contacts the nominator and schedules the veteran’s night to be honored. Those making nominations may request certain games and we will do our best to accommodate all requests. One veteran is honored at each game.

During the game, the public-address announcer will introduce the honored veteran or active-duty service member and read a short biography of their military service. When more fans return to First Arena, the announcer will encourage a round of applause for the honored military member, who receives four free tickets for the game. Hockey fans always let out a big cheer for the veterans.
