Jim Reed

Jim Reed of the Ziff Law Firm has been named a New York Super Lawyer for the sixth consecutive year following a rigorous nomination process.

“Being selected as a New York Super Lawyer for 2013 is very gratifying because the selection process is very challenging,” said Jim, the law firm’s managing partner. “It’s always flattering when your colleagues, and even adversaries, recognize you for doing top-notch legal work.”

Super Lawyers, a rating service of lawyers from more than 70 practice areas, selects the top lawyers based on nominations by their peers and an evaluation of 12 indicators of professional recognition and achievements. Those selected are grouped by practice area and size of the law firm.

Jim has practiced law in the state and federal courts in New York and Pennsylvania for more than 26 years in personal injury, medical malpractice and legal malpractice cases.

Jim joined the Ziff Law Firm in Elmira, NY in 1986 and became a partner in 1989. Prior to that, he attended Elmira Free Academy, Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., and the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University in Carlisle, PA.
