Jim Reed and Christina Sonsire have been selected by other New York lawyers to be featured in Best Lawyers, a national directory of top-rated attorneys.
Jim and Christina were each selected as a Best Lawyer in personal injury and medical malpractice law for the 2019 Best Lawyers in America guide following a survey of lawyers in their geographical region and areas of practice. Hundreds of lawyers in Upstate New York participate in the annual peer review rating program.
Jim, the Ziff Law managing partner, has been named a Best Lawyer every year since 2012. He has argued cases at every level in the New York State court system and has successfully handled many multimillion-dollar cases. His practice handles serious personal injury and malpractice cases. He has been practicing law since 1986.
Christina, a partner with Ziff Law, was named a Best Lawyer for the fifth year in a row. “I am very honored to receive this honor,” she said. “The people we represent come to us looking for justice. There is nothing like the feeling that comes from achieving it for them.”
She has been practicing law since 2004 and has been with Ziff Law since 2008. Christina is also a Chemung County legislator and is the host of the new weekly Counsel’s Corner legal news segment during the noon WENY-TV news program on Mondays.

The American Lawyer, a magazine and website that reports news on the legal profession, describes the annual Best Lawyers guide as “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
