Help more children in the Twin Tiers discover the joy of riding a bicycle by donating your old, unused bikes today.

Spring is coming (we hope!), and it’s time to clean out your garage.

You have old bicycles — still in top shape — sitting unused in a corner and you’ve been wondering: What do I do with these?

The Southern Tier Bicycle League is accepting gently-used bikes, which will be refurbished and given to children who don’t have bicycles of their own.

Your garage nuisance can be a child’s treasure!

The Southern Tier Bicycle League (STBL) is a great local advocacy group that works hard to promote safe cycling in the Southern Tier. The bike donation program is just one of the many programs they offer. To learn more about its great programs and how to join, go to its website or Facebook page.

To donate a bicycle, contact:

In Waverly, Sayre and the Valley: Bill Fischer, (607) 731-2737 or bfischerny@gmail.com.

In the Corning and Steuben County area: Scott Glaesemann, (607) 346-2479 or larsbars81@wildblue.net.

Help us make a child smile!

Thanks for reading, and please share your comments below if you have previously donated a bicycle to STBL or have received one from this great organization!
