Like I said in my blog post, every case is totally different so without knowing all of the details of your case, it is impossible for me to give any decent estimate of how long it should take you to get your settlement.  What I can tell you is that it is important that you talk to your lawyer and find out from him or her what is the current status of your case and when they expect some resolution of the case.  

While it is tough for any lawyer to give any &lt;em&gt;precise&lt;/em&gt; time-frames for the resolution of any civil case-- because there are so many variables-- some of which are within your attorney&#039;s control and many of which are NOT within your attorney&#039;s control-- it should be possible for your attorney to give you a ball park estimate how long your case should take.

		<description>i was in a car accident december 25, 2008 i was not driving i was a passenger in a taxi. a jeep hit us on the side of the car and i was injuried with a broken nose and multiple bruises to the face. I am not working anymore due to cronic pain in m lower back and right knee, I have not been working since febuary 2009. my therapy treatments are over and the insurance company paid my medical bills. how long do i have to wait until i recieve my settlement?</description>
