Cheryl:

My Dad was a plumber who also suffered some fairly nasty injuries during his career (but thankfully nothing so bad as your father). My heart goes out to those folks who work in the trades who are subject to injury on a daily basis. While I know some people argue that we have too many safety laws and rules in the US I know that my Dad always felt that anything that promoted worker safety was a good thing. I agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Thanks, Jim

As John's daughter, Cheryl, I thank you for your sympathy and thoughts. This is not the first time that my father experienced an accidennt from scaffolding. I must have been in my early teens when my I remember him falling from scaffolding. He suffered a broken collar bone at the time. Unfortunately, this time his luck was not there. My hope is that more individuals in the contruction field will take heed to the scaffolding law and know that it is for their safety and for the love of their employees and their families. Thank you again for kind words!
